The Artist and The Church

This catalogue was produced to accompany an exhibition arranged by John Piper and the Council for the Encouragement of Music and the Arts, in 1943. The exhibition intended to help recall the great traditions of English church art and to encourage demand for the employment of the artist in the reconstruction of bombed churches and the building of new churches after the war.
