Scarce title notable for its exquisite colour illustrations by Charles Robinson, a key figure in the Golden Age of children’s book illustration. Condition: Original pictorial embossed boards a little tanned, toned, scuffed and spotted. Previous owner’s Inscription to front-endpaper. Cracking to guttering between pages 24 and 25. A few minor sporadic marks to text-block which is otherwise clean and bright.
