In 1947 Bowater’s various paper and pulp interests were re-organized; a streamlined structure was instituted, in which a number of wholly-owned operating companies reported to a holding company, which was given a new name, the Bowater Paper Corporation.By the mid-1950s Bowater was the largest producer of newsprint in the world. Bowaters was handling more than 1 million tons of raw materials and finished products by sea.
Features illustrations by mid-century British illustrators as well as photographs and diagrams. Also includes a number of tactile textured papers. Chapter headings include: ‘Typography Means more than Layout’ and ‘Thomas Bewick’.
Very good condition book in good condition wrapper. Some slight scuffing and shelfwear to wrappers.
