In 1947 Bowater’s various paper and pulp interests were re-organized; a streamlined structure was instituted, in which a number of wholly-owned operating companies reported to a holding company, which was given a new name, the Bowater Paper Corporation.By the mid-1950s Bowater was the largest producer of newsprint in the world. Bowaters was handling more than 1 million tons of raw materials and finished products by sea.
Featuring illustrations by mid-century British artists as well as photographs and diagrams. Chapter headings include: ‘How Do You Build a Paper Mill?’ and ‘The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, 1557-1957’.
Very good condition book in good condition. Some creasing to cover. Wear to wrappers.
