‘Fortresses over Southampton Water’ Print by Richard Eurich

Richard Ernst Eurich was an English painter who worked as a war artist to the Admiralty in the Second World War and produced a number of panoramic seascape paintings including this one of Southampton. Eurich depicted the port city beneath a sky with thick contrails left by Flying Fortresses, a bomber plane developed in the US for the war. This print is colour matched to the original and approved by the Imperial War Museum. Every purchase supports the work of the museum.
