A significant collection of over 200 previously unpublished sketches by the renowned British sculptor Henry Moore. Text by David Mitchinson. Inscribed by Henry Moore to front endpaper: “For Pat with love from Henry October 1971”. Condition: spotting and some wear to covers (closed tearing to top edge of front panel). Foxing and toning to pastedowns and endpapers, otherwise very good. Pat Lowman was the main book designer and editor at Thames & Hudson in the 1960s and 1970s. She was good friends with Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Oskar Kokoschka and with many other major artists of the period.
